Basta Hiro - Pasta & Pizza - Hai Bà Trưng
I was so dissapointed... this is my longest and worst review in Foody life, mostly sharing my bad experiences at this place so, if you prefer not to read negative comments, please do not read further.
Starting from Cheese and Salad, they were ok. Wine was in good condition and temperature.
Disaster started from Teriyaki Pizza. Staff to take care of the table did not care the speed of serving. They brought Pizza too early, when we just started to eat Salad. And Pizza was not baked correctly so the textute of crust was still too soft. And Teriyaki sauce which they served separately,,,, taste was not Teriyaki,,, very strange taste and just make your tongue numb. If you are to order Teriyaki Pizza, I recommend to eat without pouring that sauce.
And Pasta, presentation and performance was good but taste was awful... Chef did Parmigiano Cheese Wheel Frambe with rum, supposed to melt the sureface of cheese so it can coat pasta well. However, he did not melt and scrape cheese well so when he mixed pasta, cheese did not coat the pasta. And after placing that pasta on plate, he poured sauce from pan. That sauce was very waterly.(Usually, this sauce on pan supposed to be poured to the cheese wheel together with pasta in order to blend cheese and pasta well to create creamy and cheesy sauce but he did not.) After his performance I requested to scrape cheese and put on my pasta. Without that cheese on top, you cannot really feel Parmigiano cheese.
And when I tried to sprinkle some pepper on top of pasta, the lid of pepper bottle just dropped off and dumped pepper on my pasta. I called floor staff and she said sorry then took the bottle. OK, so that means I should just continue eating pasta with pile of pepper? I called manager but she just said sorry, will be careful about lid. Again, no word for the peppered pasta on my plate. I hope they can develop better customer care and service,,, it was terrible. (Quality of black pepper itself on table was not good too.)
